Melbourne Gun Club – Clay Target Shooting in the Heart of the Yarra Valley

For a unique and exhilarating group experience, the Melbourne Gun Club offers an unforgettable introduction to clay target shooting in one of Australia’s most scenic regions. Located in Yering, just over an hour’s drive from Melbourne’s CBD, the Club is one of the largest and best-equipped clay target facilities in Australasia.

Ideal for team building days, staff functions or social outings, the experience is open to all – no firearms licence required. Participants are guided and coached by experienced instructors who ensure every visitor enjoys a safe, fun and rewarding session. Each experience includes safety equipment, coaching, and a friendly competition, making it perfect for beginners and first-timers. Sessions are tailored in collaboration with the Club’s dedicated Corporate and Social Events Manager to suit the needs and preferences of each group.

The Melbourne Gun Club is fully licensed, with drinks available at bar prices (a drinks list can be provided upon request). Please note the bar is only available after all shooting activities have concluded.

On days when the club is open for regular practice or competition, guests can also enjoy delicious, freshly prepared meals from the canteen – all at very reasonable prices.

Set in the picturesque Yarra Valley, the Melbourne Gun Club is a fantastic launching point to explore the region’s renowned offerings, including Coldstream Brewery, Healesville Sanctuary, local wineries, artisan cheese producers, and a variety of dining and market experiences. Lilydale train station is a short drive away, connecting visitors easily to the region.

Coach parking is available. Available for bookings most weekdays and select weekends. Actively welcome people with access needs.
